What is the Supply Chain Due Diligence Act?

What is the Supply Chain Due Diligence Act?

The Supply Chain Due Diligence Act is an important instrument for protecting human rights and environmental standards in supply chains.

It will come into force from January 2024 for companies with more than 1.000 employees and aims to ensure responsibility for compliance with these standards throughout the entire supply chain.

What does ClariLab have to do with this?

Although ClariLab, with around 50 employees, is significantly below the threshold of 1.000 employees at which the Supply Chain Due Diligence Act applies, we take our responsibility in the supply chain very seriously.

As a subsidiary of SCHUFA Holding AG, which itself falls under the law, we want to send a clear signal that even smaller companies can make an important contribution to promoting human rights and environmental standards.

Our efforts in this area reflect our commitment to ethical business practices and sustainable development.

How SCHUFA is implementing the law

SCHUFA has taken various measures to comply with the requirements of the Supply Chain Due Diligence Act.

This includes setting up a risk management system, appointing a human rights officer, and implementing a complaints procedure.

These measures help SCHUFA to manage its supply chains responsibly and to ensure that human rights and environmental standards are respected.
